The event will feature Mark Weathington, author of “Gardening in the South: The Complete Homeowners Guide” at 10 a.m. His lecture will focus on how to improve your Southern garden. Weathington is director of the JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State. Matt Lendhart, Iredell extension agent for horticulture will present "The 25 Most Frequently Asked Questions about Turf" at 11:30 a.m. The event will include vendors from the Charlotte-metro area offering plants for sale, garden equipment and accessories, yard art and more. Master Gardener volunteers will provide gardening education, basket raffles and children’s activities. The event is free and open to the public.
