About Dr. Spivey:
Dr. Julie Spivey practices at Lake Norman Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Spivey was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended The University of Alabama where she earned a B.S. in Biology and then went on to earn her D.M.D. from the UAB School of Dentistry. Her husband, Dr. Reid Spivey, and she graduated from dental school together and both began practicing general dentistry in Alabama. For four years, she spent most of her time exclusively treating children, and she knew she’d found what she was meant to do forever! Dr. Reid and she packed up their suitcases and moved to Hawaii so she could earn a specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Langone Health/Lutheran Medical Center. After two incredible years of learning and treating children on the Hawaiian islands, they decided to move closer to home and relocated to Charlotte.
She has long had a dream to open her own pediatric dental practice. She and Reid have always loved the water and knew they wanted to make their forever home by Lake Norman. They are both excited and proud to be living in and serving the wonderful Denver community. She knows that dental health is a crucial part of overall health. Her goals are to help each patient establish healthy habits at an early age, maintain a lifetime of oral health, and have fun when visiting the dentist! Her favorite thing about her job is teaching and talking with patients and their parents about how to prevent dental problems and have healthy smiles for life.
When she’s not in the office, she enjoy traveling, reading, boating and wake surfing, and watching college football. She also loves playing with her five nieces and nephews, and spending time with her husband and their sweet pups: their bulldog Dougie and LKNPD’s therapy doodle, Otter. She invites you and your kiddos to come to see how fun, relaxed, and easy dental visits can be at Lake Norman Pediatric Dentistry!
