It all started decades ago with two young brothers selling homegrown cantaloupes on the side of the road. From its humble beginnings, Josh’s Farmers Market has grown into a must-see destination and, for many, their primary source for all things local: fresh produce, dairy products, seafood, baked goods, weekly ice cream flavors, seasonal treats, arts & crafts, jams, jellies, sauces, coffees, teas, and much, much more—even handcrafted Amish and Mennonite furniture.

“October is one of the most exciting times of year,” owner Josh Graham says with a smile. “We have an impressive selection of more than 30 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and squashes. Add jumbo Indian corn, giant cornstalks, and straw bales, and you’ll find everything you need to give your home that perfect autumn look.”

Fresh-baked fall favorites are made on-site daily, including apple cider donuts, cinnamon rolls, and crispy fried apple chips. Don’t forget the candied apples and fresh-pressed apple cider!

For seafood lovers, October brings something special as well with wild-caught, in-shell oysters; and Friday through Sunday, Josh’s Weekend Seafood Market will feature fresh-caught jumbo Greentail shrimp along with the market’s amazing selection of quality seafood and meats.

Of course, no fall outing is complete without something delicious to sip and a sweet treat to top off your day. Bean Catcher Coffee will be serving up seasonal fall flavors, while Homestead Creamery will have fall-themed ice cream and eggnog.

“Starting November 18,” Josh adds, “the Christmas Market will be in full swing so be sure and come see the magic of the season. There will be a huge variety of Christmas trees, wreaths, garland, and gift baskets. We will have team members who can help you measure, showcase, and package everything you need.”

Open seven days a week, Josh’s Farmers Market is located at 142 Joe V Knox Avenue in Mooresville. Reach Josh and his team at 980.635.8140, email [email protected], or visit www.JoshsFarmersMarket.com.
