Dr. Coleman:
Balance, Adventure, and Showing Up Where It Matters
|I’m the proud father of three boys—Jack (19), Patrick (17), and Cooper (12). At the center of my life is family, and everything else tends to orbit around that. I’ve always believed the best version of success is one that leaves room for the people and moments that matter most. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and golfing—anything that gets me outside and moving. Living in the Lake Norman area makes that easy, and we take full advantage of it as a family whenever we can.
Fatherhood and Philanthropy
Being a father is my greatest role, and I genuinely enjoy watching my kids compete, grow, and find their own paths through sports and life. I’ve also always felt a responsibility to give back. I have a philanthropic heart and participate in several community events throughout the year because I believe we’re meant to contribute where we live, not just reside here. That mindset has shaped how I approach both life and work. I’m proud to serve the Lake Norman community and honored to be part of something that feels bigger than any one person.
Finding the Right Rhythm
Over time, I’ve learned that balance isn’t something you stumble into, it’s something you build intentionally. I work hard, but I also make space to play hard with my family. There are so many opportunities to stay active and connected in this area that we rarely sit still for long. That rhythm—work, family, movement, adventure—has become my version of a good life. I honestly think that combination is the secret.
Dr. Foran:
A Commitment to Serve
My path into dentistry began with a commitment to serve. I received a scholarship through the United States Army to help pay for dental school, which ultimately led me into military service during a pivotal time. While practicing as a dentist during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, I was exposed to complex oral and facial trauma cases and the reconstructive work being done by oral surgeons. That experience changed my trajectory and inspired me to pursue that specialty.
The Moments That Stick
I am married and the proud father of two children, Erin (17) and Liam (12). Outside of work, I’ve always enjoyed endurance sports—triathlons and races have been a big part of my life. These days, with my children’s schedules, I don’t compete as often, but I still make time to stay active and clear my head. Exercise has always been my way of resetting. I also enjoy cooking, whether it’s testing a new recipe I found online or spending time with friends around the smoker. Those simple moments tend to be the ones that stick.
Perspective Management
As a family, we try to prioritize time together whenever possible. Work keeps us busy, but we make a point to steal weekends and travel when we can. We’re very much beach people, and some of our favorite places include Isle of Palms and Aruba, where we can slow down and simply enjoy being together. Those moments away from the daily pace tend to bring a lot of perspective and remind me what really matters.
