At the pivot of any executive’s life, the notion of stepping away from the familiar can feel like standing at the edge of a sacred threshold—one where the known dissolves into mystery and the soul is invited to step forward into deeper truth.
My own journey began in the glass-and-steel world of corporate leadership. There, my title was shorthand for competence, connection, and strength. But when life’s quiet whisper called me toward entrepreneurship, the clarity I had once known fractured. As I unpacked internal boxes marked “What If I Fail?” and “Who Am I Without This Title?” I discovered that losing identity doesn’t erase purpose … it reveals the soul’s essence waiting to be remembered.
Fear became a constant companion. It whispered, “You’re not ready,” while the unknown stretched wide like an uncharted horizon. Yet in that paradox, I found something holy. It was precisely by leaning into fear and choosing to act in faith that I began to hear the first whispers of divine confidence.
I started taking small chances such as offering expertise in new ways, gathering women together in community, and speaking my truth aloud. Each step forward, however small, became less about proving worth and more about trusting that I was guided. Over time, confidence took root in my mind, and my spirit began to lift like dawn breaking through clouds. The heaviness of uncertainty gave way to lightness, curiosity, and joy.
My body felt the shift too. The tension once tethered to performance and perfection began to loosen. Sleep became more peaceful, movement more fluid, mornings more alive. I no longer greeted the day as a performer but as a co-creator with something greater than myself. A mind unburdened by fear allows the body to align with spirit; and when mind, body, and spirit move in harmony, life itself feels renewed.
If you find yourself standing at life’s threshold hesitating, worried that stepping away means losing yourself, I invite you to imagine instead that it is a sacred invitation. Each brave choice, no matter how small, is a prayer of becoming. With every step, confidence grows, spirit brightens, and life realigns with the rhythm of the soul.
