Nominate a Woman Who Inspires Lake Norman
Every community has those women—the ones who lift others up, give endlessly of themselves, and lead with heart, grace, and grit. This September, we’ll gather to honor them at the first-ever Lake Norman Woman of the Year Gala, and we need your help to shine a light on the women who make Lake Norman such a special place to live, work, and grow. Whether she’s a business owner, volunteer, mentor, or quiet force behind the scenes, we want to hear her story.
We’re inviting you to submit a nomination for a woman who lives, works, or volunteers in the Lake Norman area and deserves to be celebrated for her impact. From there, we’ll select the Top 10 nominees and open a community vote. The Top 4 finalists will each receive an invitation (along with a guest) to the Lake Norman Woman of the Year Gala on September 19, 2025, where we’ll announce the winner of this meaningful new tradition.

Nominations will be open from May 1 through May 31, 2025. To be eligible, nominees must live, work, or volunteer in the Lake Norman area. Each person may submit only one nomination. Once the nomination period closes, a selection committee will choose the Top 10 finalists, and the Top 4 will be determined by a community-wide vote. Finalists must be available to attend the Lake Norman Woman of the Year Gala on September 19 at The Brawley Estate, where the winner will be announced.
