Coastal Roots, Lake Norman Calling
I grew up along the coast of North Carolina, where the beach and a slower pace of life shaped who I am. I’ve always considered myself a “beach guy,” so moving to the Lake Norman area three years ago was a meaningful change for my family. What started as a professional opportunity has become something much more personal. We now live in Mooresville and have truly embraced this community. The people here, the sense of connection, and the opportunity to serve have made Lake Norman home in a relatively short amount of time.

Faith, Family, and the Classroom
I’ve known from a young age that I was called to education. I began my career teaching social studies, and that expanded into leadership. What I love most about my role as Head of School is the blend of education, business, marketing, and vision. My academic journey reflects that passion. I earned my bachelor’s degree from William Peace University, my master’s from Regent University, and my doctorate from Anderson University. Alongside that journey, my wife and I (who I met in high school through our church youth group) are raising our two children, Levi and Rhettley Grace.

Building Something That Lasts
I am incredibly proud of the growth and momentum we’re seeing at Lake Norman Christian School. In a short time, we’ve been able to expand in significant ways, including purchasing 20 acres in Huntersville and beginning construction on a new 40,000-square-foot facility. For me, this work is about more than buildings; it’s about creating something that will have a lasting impact on students, families, and the community. Even on challenging days, I stay motivated by that vision.

The Joy of the Journey
My faith plays a central role in how I approach both life and leadership, shaping the way I make decisions, treat others, and move through both calm and challenging seasons. One line from “Amazing Grace” has always stayed with me, serving as a steady reminder that the same grace that has carried me this far will continue to lead me forward, even when the path ahead isn’t entirely clear. I’ve learned to trust God’s timing rather than trying to force my own, and to look for purpose in every season—whether it feels productive, uncertain, or in between. That perspective has helped me let go of unnecessary stress, enjoy life more fully, and stay grounded in what truly matters.
