The Crosby Scholars of Iredell County is celebrating its 10th anniversary in a big way—with the inaugural Fall Frenzy 5K Run/Walk! The community is invited to join this fun and meaningful event on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at ESC Park in Troutman.
This family-friendly race welcomes runners, walkers, jogging strollers, and even leashed pets. The 5K will be a chip-timed event managed by New and Old-Timers, LLC, featuring live music, face painting, a coffee truck, post-race snacks, and awards for top male and female finishers. Registration is $35 per person, which includes a commemorative T-shirt featuring the event logo and sponsors.
“We’re looking forward to a fun, community event that celebrates Crosby Scholars’ 10th anniversary in Iredell County while supporting programs for more than 1,700 local students,” said Jennifer Christian, Executive Director of Iredell Crosby Scholars.
Since its founding in 2015, the Crosby Scholars Program has provided free services to middle and high school students in Iredell-Statesville Schools, Mooresville Graded School District, and local charter schools. These programs include ACT/SAT preparation, career exploration, college tours, one-on-one advising, and financial aid guidance—all designed to help students prepare for college and beyond.
To make the event possible, Crosby Scholars is seeking sponsorships from local businesses and individuals, with levels ranging from $250 to $5,000. Sponsors will receive recognition through social media, signage, and event-day promotions. Individuals can also show their support with personalized “cheer signs” for $50, placed along the race route.
“Expanding access to education is an investment in the future of our community,” Christian added. “We’re excited to bring people together for a cause that truly makes a difference.”
Those interested in participating or sponsoring can find full registration and sponsorship details on the Crosby Scholars of Iredell County website.
