Nothing says summer like peaches and ice cream, and this easy old-fashioned peach cobbler will take you straight back to yesteryear—when Grandma filled the kitchen with love, laughter, and the sweet smell of something bubbling in the oven. It’s simple, soulful, and downright delicious. It’s peachy-keen … enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15 oz) can of sliced peaches in syrup (don’t drain)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place butter in a 9×9 or 9×13 baking dish and let it melt in the oven.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and milk until smooth.
  4. Once butter is melted, pour batter over the butter—don’t stir!
  5. Spoon peaches with syrup evenly over the batter—again, don’t stir.
