If you ask Heston Allocco what he’s most proud of, he won’t rattle off accomplishments or boast about milestones. Instead, he quietly reflects, “I think it’s that I’m considered a man of high integrity. I take responsibility, even for things people may miss. I hope that translates into the way I treat my clients—with transparency, respect, and care.”
Heston, owner of DexaFit Lake Norman and soon-to-open HealthGevity Gardens, is no stranger to responsibility. He grew up in a small town that straddled suburban life and rural traditions. He was a fourth-generation member of the New Vernon Volunteer Fire Department among other first responder organizations, sharing: “That sense of civic duty and giving back came from my parents and shaped how I lead today.”
While his early career was rooted in project management and process improvement, including 12 years at Trane Technologies, Heston found a new purpose in helping others pursue better health through science-based data. “Using top of the line equipment,” he explains, “DexaFit lets me help people in a way that aligns perfectly with my background — using personalized metrics to guide meaningful change. Whether it’s body composition, metabolic rate, VO2 Max, movement analysis, or strength and velocity numbers on the Proteus Motion Machine, we give real baseline and progress results of your evolving health. Finally, I also think it is so important for anyone in a GLP-1 to get DEXA scans to monitor changing bone density and lean mass numbers.”
Heston and his wife, Tia, recently celebrated 23 years of marriage. They live in Huntersville with their two daughters, Emma (20) and Lily (18) … and their Bernedoodle, Grace! “We wanted to raise our girls in a place with less of that keeping-up-with-the-Joneses’ northeast energy,” he laughs. “Huntersville felt real.”
Opening this fall, HealthGevity Gardens will extend Heston’s wellness vision. It’s a recovery oasis — saunas, cold plunges, hot tubs—all nestled in an herb garden filled with textures, sounds, and scents. “It’s about balance, not just data,” he points out. “I believe in focusing on what you can control and treating people with empathy and kindness. At the end of the day, a great client experience is all I’m looking for … when someone walks out motivated and with a solid plan — that’s pure gold.”
