When the Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.or) co-founders Candace Bahr and Ginita Wall founded “Second Saturday Divorce Workshops” through their non-profit 30 years ago, they never imagined that they would be offering support to tens of thousands of women as they struggled through the devastating process of divorce.  But that is exactly what has happened, with Second Saturday Divorce Workshops cropping up around the country. And with 50% of marriages ending in divorce, it is clear that even more help is needed.

That is why Eileen Stoner is modeling the Lake Norman Second Saturday Divorce Workshop debuting on Saturday, October 12th after the game-changing original.  With the guidance of local, trained financial experts, attorneys, and divorce therapists, participants will gain greater understanding of the legal, financial, family, and personal issues of divorce in a logical yet compassionate way.

Says Eileen about Second Saturday: “Divorce is not easy, and we are proud to affiliate with WIFE.org to provide this Second Saturday workshop.  It is our hope that people attending the workshop will decide to work on their marriages and keep their families intact rather than go through the rigors of divorce.  But regardless, Second Saturday provides a great opportunity for women to acquire non-biased, straight-forward information and options to help them focus on what they need to do legally and financially through difficult times and hopefully save a whole lot of time, grief, and expense.”

The Lake Norman Divorce Workshop will be hosted at the Lake Norman Chamber October 12th, in the second floor Randy Marion conference room from 9:00 am-12:00 noon, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Participants are encouraged to preregister at DreamDivorceResources@yahoo.com.  Participants are encouraged to make a small donation to Second Saturday founding organization at www.wife.org if possible.
